About Plane Mercantile, Aviation Gifts and Collectables

Our company started as a small aviation publishing company - Little Buttes Publishing. We carry two of their books on our site. Plane Mercantile developed out of a fascination for vintage aviation art and memorabilia. The owner of Plane Mercantile, Barbara Schultz, is a pilot and owner of a 1950 Cessna 140A. She belongs to Women in Aviation, International; the Ninety-Nines, Women's Air & Space Museum, and the EAA. She and her husband live on their own airport. They enjoy traveling in their Beech 18 and Bonanza V35. Both sons are corporate pilots so I think you can easily say, this is a flying family. Barbara gives frequent presentations on Pancho Barnes and her current project, a biography about Moye Stephens, early Northrop flying wing pilot and pilot for Richard Halliburton., is at the printers!  Look for the title soon - Flying Carpets, Flying Wings.
